We're back underway!

Following a long unintended break, we’re back inside and getting our students prepared for their military career ahead! We are thrilled to be back and training again, it’s been a long absence and it’s great to see everybody’s faces in person! We have so much planned over the next few months and can’t wait for some exciting activities and trips.

Next up… The famous mud run! along the muddy shores of Brough, we’ll be dragging our feet through the slippery and sticky muddy valleys. An opportunity to get some hilarious photos and some serious character building. You’ll be cold and muddy, but it will all be worth it come the end!

So much to look forward to and we’ll keep everybody updated with what else we have planned.

Although we’re back we still understand that we must be careful and take extra steps to ensure our students safety. We will continue to take temperatures of all students upon entry and exit. We have also installed stickers and socially distancing students through out the day. Hopefully, with a bit of luck and following government guidelines, we’ll be back to normal in no time!

See you all soon, and stay safe!

Tyler gets his start!

After applying for the Army, and getting knocked back for medical reasons, Tyler decided to come to and see what QPD had to offer. With a little hard work and determination, here we are 7 months later with Tyler looking forward to his start date in February! The only thing holding Tyler back was his asthma, which needed to be cleared before he was able to pass his medical. Now he has his medical out the way, he can proceed to his start date but with the added bonuses of improved fitness and a little more knowledge on the Forces thanks to his tutors at QPD Forces Prep.

We are all thrilled that he’s finally getting his career underway and we can’t wait to hear back from him in the future!

If at first you don't succeed....

Charlie, one of our Doncaster students, attended his Army assessment centre today to retake his psychometric test. This is Charlie’s second attempt after falling short first time around. After weeks of revising hard and help from his tutors at college, he passed with almost double his original score. This is incredible news for Charlie and we are all thrilled for him. He can now move on to his career choice! Hard work pays off!

End of Year Mud Run!

A mix of our Doncaster, Hull & Work Experience students took part in one of our Mud Runs in Brough Last Friday.

As we look to settle down for the end of the year, we thought we would go out with a bang and take the students down for one of our famous Mud Runs.

The session was delivered by the ruthless Staff Fraser, and it's safe to say he didn't let anybody get off easy.

It was a test of determination, Fitness and Team Work.

The run involved lots of ducking, diving, plunging, sprinting & panting for breath. Some Activities saw students holding their breath and submerging themselves under the muddy water and going through everyone's legs. as well as this, the students got put through their paces and made to complete various strength building exercises as well as cardio.

Upon finishing the activity, there were lots of exhausted-looking students but they all had a smile on their faces and loved every minute of it!

We're glad that we get the opportunity to take the students on fun exercises like this, and we love seeing the happiness and proud look on their faces after completing the session.

We can't wait for the next one!
